Hey Amandeep - cheer up a bit! - So what's so
special about Tabla?

Well it's one of the most difficult instruments in the
world to master. I didn't know - LOL ! When I started - Jus the tabla
is a complicated instrument coz when u play it u need 2 concentr8 - its easy 2 mess it up - the notes are close and it's very tiring.

Well I know that! - Ha! that's exactly why I had to give up, I kinda miss it though the Ravadassia is a cool place and Anil is such a devoted teacher - you guys should practice more
like the man says! LOL - So what drums are you playing?

Right I got my tablas from India but I put new skins on them. u tune them using the cast steel hammer by tensing the skin. Also all the skin and rope is from goat - they take it from the stomach.

I bought my 1st tabla in Birmingham that was fun but Anil really told me off!
So then I did as I was told and nipped over to Bina in Southall - top shop, he's got all the heads and rope- I spent far too much
that day ! But they are very good value for hand built drums.So what's happening ? As we say in the Barn.

Say that I'm trying a new fing with tabla - tryin 2 incoper8 "western" beats on it like drum and bass and jungle music.

And anway. my turn to ask a question...........
