"Custom Finishes" -doesn't even begin to describe the
service that John at JJ's can offer. And the biggest problem
for John is that you really have to see the results for yourself
to appreciate the workmanship and attention to detail.

John is an expert in spray technique and wax application, he can
also supply plenty of ideas to amaze.

It took him no time at all to turn a tiny BDB 4 inch snare
shell into this amazing shiny thing - Ok he couldn't squeeze
his favourite BDB hoop on top but wait until he gets his new
BDB Tesselated shell - Blinging marvelous !

And of course - He's a drummer- So he knows the score!

In our experience, most BDB customers pretty much know
what they want, however they don't necessarily have the time, patience or expertise - no problem - just send John your ideas and sketches and watch it go.

Apart from finishes built from scratch, John has an enormous
range of wraps to call upon. He can also combine the two, and is currently experimenting with metal finishes for hoops and lugs.

To sum it up - John is devoted to all things Drums, he loves his
work and wont let go until he is absolutely happy with the results.
Any worries about parting with an old favourite to be "Done up"
can be forgotten - John treats every project as a personal project.

JJ's specialist drum finishes operate quite independently from
Bob's Drum Barn, and John can be freely approached to finish any
old make (might do you a car if you ask nicely!), we offer John's services on the BDB site as a compliment to John's excellent work and hopefully to compliment our own shells and hoops. Because
famously, BDB don't offer any finishes other than our hand painted "one off" snare drums.
